Chlorine is Hazardous

Chlorine is universally recognized and used as an effective chemical for purifying water.  Because of its effectiveness in killing microorganisms, water companies use chlorine and its derivatives.  Chlorine attacks organic matter, making a potent bleaching agent.  It is essentially needed to purify water.  However, once it has done the job, we should not drink, shower or bathe in it.  It should be removed from your water before it is consumed.

Chlorine is a good chemical disinfectant but dangerous to drink or bathe in.Chlorine is also very  H A Z A R D O U S !  Chlorine is hazardous. Absorption through the skin is dangerous.

Most authorities feel that we take in more chlorine from one shower than we do from drinking the same water in one day.

Chlorine works so well in killing bacteria and bleaching and oxidizing organic food stains, it stands to reason that it would have a bad affect on our skin, eyes and lungs.  All soft organic body tissues are in danger of chlorine damage.

Chlorine hurts hair and skin by drying them out.

Chlorine plays havoc with our skin and hair because it chemically bonds with the protein in our bodies.

Chlorine makes hair brittle and dry; it can make sensitive skin dry, flaky and itchy.

It makes good sense to remove chlorine from all drinking water as well as our bathing and showering water.

Human skin is like a sponge when it comes to chemicals in the water.

Our human skin surface is our largest body organ, weighing about 12 pounds for the average adult.

It would not seem any wiser to expose that much of our absorbent skin to a chemical disinfectant like chlorine, than it would be to drink it.
